Visa Application Fees How to pay All visa fees are set in £ sterling by the British Government in London and are the same world-wide. All visa fees within Syria are payable only in Syrian Lira. Important: Dependants are charged the same fee as the main applicant. All dependants who are travelling must pay the fee whether or not they are included in the main applicant's passport. Refunds: A fee will be refundable only if the application is withdrawn in writing prior to any processing of the application and biometrics have not been taken, or if the applicant refuses to provide biometrics. Refunds will not be given if long term visit visas are granted for less than the period applied for. These fees are effective for all visa applications made from 6 April 2010. The consular rate of exchange is 75 SYP to £1.
